Fast-track residence for foreigners rejecting Western liberal values
From September 1, 2024, foreign citizens who declare rejection of ideologies perceived as destructive and incompatible with traditional Russian spiritual and moral values will be eligible for a simplified pathway to temporary residence in Russia. They will be exempt from language, history, and law exams, and the quota system. Separately, foreigners applying for Russian visas will now be required to attend a personal interview.
