  • Funds for design centers for electronic and microelectronic products

    The government will finance the creation of small and medium-sized design centers for electronic, microelectronic and radio-electronic products.

  • Individual designations, third countries, expanded banned goods list

    Asset freezes targeting 11 Russian individuals, 29 entities, and 3 banks.
    Prohibited exports to 22 Russian military-related entities and 31 entities in third countries (e.g., China, Turkey, UAE) suspected of facilitating sanctions evasion.
    Banned 335 goods that could strengthen Russia’s industrial base, such as engines, audio equipment, and tools.

  • Shadow fleet vessels and individual designations

    Designated 44 entities and 32 individuals, both Russian and non-Russian, supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex or involved in the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children. Added 109 vessels associated with Russia’s shadow fleet to the sanctions list.
    Expanded bans on goods used in weapons manufacturing and prohibiting contracts with certain ships.

  • 16th package of sanctions against Russia

    Ban on imports of Russian primary aluminium.
    Prohibition on the temporary storage of Russian oil in EU ports, targeting theshadow fleet.
    Expanded export bans on goods and technologies contributing to Russia’s military capabilities.
    Enhanced anti-circumvention provisions, including sanctions on third-country entities supporting Russia’s war effort.

  • 13th package of sanctions against Russia

    Restrictive measures on additional 106 Generals and 88 entities. The new listings target the military and defence sectors, members of the judiciary, local politicians and people responsible for the illegal deportation and military re-education of Ukrainian children. Further restrictions on unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and on exports of goods which contribute, in particular, to the enhancement of Russian industrial capabilities.

  • 10th package of sanctions against Russia

    The agreed package includes bans on:

    exports of critical technology and industrial goods;
    imports of asphalt and synthetic rubber;
    provision of gas storage capacity to Russian entities;
    transit through Russia of EU exported dual use goods and technology.

  • Snactioned Russian generals and entities, export bans on military-related goods

    The Japanese government designated an additional 22 Generals and 3 entities related to the Russian Federation and 14 Generals connected with the eastern and southern part of Ukraine, subjecting them to restrictions. Effective 3 February 2023, the Japanese government introduced an export ban to 49 designated entities of the Russian Federation as listed by the Notice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated 27 January 2023. Also effective 3 February 2023, Japan introduced an export ban on military reinforcement related commodity goods and other items to the Russian Federation.

  • 9th package of sanctions against Russia

    The new measures include bans on:

    exports of drone engines;
    exports of dual-use goods and technology;
    investments in the mining sector;
    transactions with the Russian Regional Development Bank;
    the provision of advertising, market research and public opinion polling services.

  • Eighth sanctions package: oil price cap

    A price cap is imposed on the maritime transport of Russian oil to third countries. Further measures include:
    additions to the list of restricted items which may contribute to Russia’s military and technological enhancement;
    additional restrictions on trade and services; targeting of Generals responsible for Russia’s occupation and annexation of territories and the “sham referenda”.

  • Second package of sanctions against Russia

    Restrictions on Russian access to EU capital markets and technology, particularly in the oil, military, and dual-use sectors.

    Further measures include: a ban on transactions with the Russian Central Bank;
    a ban on the overflight of EU airspace and on access to EU airports by Russian carriers.
